Saving One Tree Meadow and Lane Woodland, Beaconsfield
The One Tree Meadow public space, and a beautiful wooded part of Beaconsfield that has
formed part of the gardens of One Tree Lane for the last forty years,
is under real threat. Beaconsfield Town Council has decided to put them both on the "open market for development".
The Town Council is trying to sell nearly 1/2 acre of the One Tree Meadow
public space, as well as the 3/4 acre One Tree Lane woodland.
We cannot allow this precedent to be set. If this part of One Tree Meadow is sold, how safe would the rest of it be?
What public land would be safe from development in Beaconsfield any more?

Villains to heroes?
It's not too late for the Town Council to become the only Town Council in a generation to actually increase the amount of public green space in Beaconsfield. All they need to do is withdraw these proposals, and legally incorporate the woodland behind One Tree Lane into the One Tree Meadow public space.
